I don’t like his music or his ridiculous get-ups, but there is no denying that this guy is more astute and in touch with what is real than most.

One Response to “Brilliant”

  1. He is obviously an extremely intelligent person. And although I don’t agree with the methods he uses to reach kids, I know that he does and for some it is the only person some may feel understands what goes on in their world and that in itself makes him relevant and valid to our society.

A very good point was made at the end of the O’Reilly interview that what is facing kids these days is so much more than what previous generations have ever dealt with. What concerns me is whether the kids that do relate to him truly have the life experiences to understand and translate the underlying messages he is communicating. Maybe they do. I know they have more to bear than what they should. What’s really needed are more adults in their lives that would stop condemning figures such as Marilyn Manson and use/understand/bridge the gap between the personalities, music, etc. that are reaching these kids to communicate with the kids on their level on the issues that are important in their lives.

The #1 thing that drives kids away from their parents is hypocrisy.
